Startups updates: Slate receives an award at SportInnovation 2022, LiveLike enters Web3, Greenfly and DFL
It was impossible not to start with SportInnovation 2022 for this new monthly startups update!
On May the 11th and 12th, LiveLike, Greenfly, and Slate attended the event to meet with sports organisations that actively shape the future of the sports industry. Both LiveLike & Greenfly had a booth, and Slate received their well deserved award from the Ignition program. Of course, we were also present at Dusseldorf to best support them and further discuss potential new opportunities.. It's always a pleasure to meet the LiveLike, Greenfly and Slate teams in person. We look forward to the next event.
LiveLike is Entering Web3: Why and How?
Co-founder and CEO, Miheer Walavalkar shared on his LinkedIn profile precious information on how LiveLike is entering Web3. The company will provide customer tools to seamlessly onboard non-crypto native users. These tools will complement LiveLike’s existing engagement suite to further drive engagement and open up new revenue opportunities.
“If we take a step back, our mission at LiveLike has always been to develop a product that brings together communities, engage those communities to turn them into loyal customers, and reward them for their loyalty. Stepping into the Web3 and NFT space will allow us to take that third pillar of our mission to the next level, and shape the future of loyalty rewards and digital empowerment.”
LiveLike will be announcing more exciting updates soon, so make sure to stay up to date. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or if you want to discuss these topics further.
Before ending on the LiveLike news, let's have a look at its collaboration with MSG Networks. LiveLike has been working with MSG Networks all season, adding elements to Knicks and Rangers games. And, during the regular season for the Knicks and Rangers, LiveLike saw an engagement rate of 96.5% of fans exposed to the features choosing to use them. A great illustration of how LiveLike's solution can help engage a community and make games more interactive, engaging, and fun.
Greefnly returns on its collaboration with the DFL
With the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga (Bundesliga) season almost over, Greenfly reveals how the league has used its solution to provide real-time content to its clubs.
One year ago, the DFL and the 36 Bundesliga clubs jointly launched the Social Media Matchday Feed, powered by Greenfly's media exchange platform. This match-specific innovation allowed each club's social media reporter to create exclusive content in and around the stadium. This content was automatically delivered to more than 60 international media partners. It was a great success, allowing viewers and fans around the world to follow match day events more closely in real-time.
For sports organizations, real-time content has become essential to drive global content and fan engagement strategies. Another major sports organization, the EPL, explained how the league is creating value for its entire ecosystem through social media feed powered by Greenfly on game day.
Another exciting month for Slate
Coming back to DFL's Sports Innovation 2022 event as SportsPro Media awarded the Ignition Sport Innovation trophy to Slate. Slate co-founder William Brooke collected the award which recognizes the next generation of entrepreneurs and startup founders who are actively changing the world of innovation, fans and businesses in sports.
Slate also shared this month one of their main best practice on how to customize reposted tweets in Instagram stories within Slate app.
Adding tweets to the Instagram Story is a great way to repurpose content. Unfortunately, Instagram's default, muted backgrounds don't really allow for content to shine, or brand consistency. Slate offers an easy way to add tweets, which leads to more brand consistency, and engaging content.
