This exemplifies our commitment to supporting emerging sports tech companies. As we look forward to 2024, our aim is to grow further and diversify our collaborations, as we are doing with a new consultancy service range, which includes marketing initiatives and business strategy developments.
A Year Marked by a Strategic Team Growth
In 2023, we at LaSource fortified our team with strategic hires aimed at enhancing our capabilities and sports services. A significant milestone was the appointment of Leander Monbaliu as Chief Business Officer, a move that signifies our commitment to diversification. With over 10 years of experience in the sports industry, including deep expertise in football leagues and media, Leander brought a wealth of knowledge to help consolidate our consulting projects and how we support large sports organisations.
Additionally, Yash Panjabi joined us as a Marketing Coordinator, adding a fresh perspective to our marketing endeavours. The inclusion of two exceptional interns, Loic and Nicole, further enriched our team dynamics. Loic's transition to a digital sales consultant role exemplifies our commitment to nurturing talent within our organisation.
A Year with Diversification And the Launch of Our Sports Consultancy Services
With Leander Monbaliu at the helm, we at LaSource underwent a strategic transformation, positioning ourselves as a sports consultancy-based agency. This shift allowed us to broaden our scope of services, catering not only to Sports Tech Companies but also engaging with sports organisations. The introduction of new services, including Digital Transformation, Media Rights Strategy, and Innovation Strategy, reinforces our commitment to providing holistic solutions to our clients.
A Year With Exciting Projects for Sports Organisations
We spearheaded several exciting projects with esteemed sports organisations in 2023. Notable highlights include Season 2 of The Sports Foundry, our innovation programme addressing the most pressing questions sports federations face. In collaboration with ThinkSport and Havas Sports, we help ICF & World Rowing with their respective challenges when it comes to leveraging innovation, startups and tech trends to make their organisation more agile and innovative.
We also supported the DFL and FIFPRO with their innovation initiatives. For the DFL, we built an entire innovation plan for the 4 years to come. For FIFPRO, we supported the organisation of their Player IQ Tech Program, focused on addressing industry developments driven by new technology and advances in data capture that enable the rapid collection of large amounts of sensitive player data in the working environment.
Finally, we had our inaugural media rights consultancy services with 1001tv in MENA. These projects exemplify our agency's prowess in delivering innovative solutions and cementing our position as a trusted partner for sports organisations.
A Busy Year of Networking Events and Sports Business Summits
Again this year, we actively participated in and contributed to the global sports industry discourse by attending prominent networking events. Starting, of course, with the World Football Summit, with which we have been partners for 3 years now: we hosted a great workshop and the prestigious Best Sports Tech Award, showcasing our commitment to recognizing and celebrating innovation in the field. We were also glad and proud to be involved in various panel discussions and attend many key events, including SportsPro OTT Summit, World Football Summit Asia, SportsBiz Europe, Thinking Football Summit, Sportel, Leaders Week and more.
Our presence at these forums allowed us to share insights, engage with industry leaders, and further establish our agency as a thought leader in the sports business domain. These engagements not only provided us with valuable networking opportunities but also allowed us to stay informed about the latest developments in sports technology, business strategies, and industry innovations. In 2024 we will continue to actively participate in such events as our goal is to foster meaningful connections, stay abreast of emerging trends, and contribute to the continuous evolution of the sports business landscape.
A Year with New Engaging Content Formats
In line with our commitment to transparency and effective communication, we revamped our website, transitioning from a black-to-white theme. The redesigned platform now offers a more organised presentation of our diverse services, making it easier for clients to understand the breadth of our capabilities.
In a bid to share industry insights and trends, we at LaSource, launched our first-ever reports. "Startups to Follow in 2023," "Digital Transformation in Football," and “League Should Be Taking The Lead” are just the beginning. As we stride into 2024, we are committed to producing more insightful content, providing our audience with valuable information and staying at the forefront of industry discourse. We've also continued to record podcasts on LeCorner, around 20 in all, which you can find here: https://www.lasource.io/podcasts
