Startups updates: Super League Triathlon and LiveLike, Greenfly and Imagen partnership, and more…

Another exciting month for our startups with new partnerships, client showcase and product updates. LiveLike, Greenfly and Slate are still working hard to brought even more value to their customers and improve their services the best they can!

Super League Triathlon offering fans franchise control via LiveLike platform

SLT is one step further in its quest to engage fans and develop the league. In early June, the league announced that it would offer fans the opportunity to make significant decisions regarding the team. Through a new platform created by LiveLike, fans can now purchase packages (from US$14 to US$20,000 a season), and access benefits depending on investment level. Fans could make critical decisions before, during, and after the race, such as the design kit the athletes will wear or vote on who to position on the pontoon.

SLT chief executive and co-founder, Michael D’hulst, said: “Super League Triathlon is going into its fourth season and continues to expand as we will now head to more exciting destinations with events in all the major triathlon markets as part of our commitment to drive innovation, develop a true spectator sport and create even greater value for our athletes”.

Imagen and Greenfly Partner To Deliver Expanded Digital Content

Greenfly and Imagen, the leading cloud media asset management platform, have partnered to power the automated collection, storage, and distributed sharing of short-form digital media for global sports and entertainment organizations.

Greenfly users will access Imagen's content directly from the app through this new partnership, giving them a wide selection of content to bring fans closer to the event. In addition, the users can access archived content stored by Imagen to share a post on the highlights of the last season to engage fans ahead of a new season or game.

Daniel Kirschner, CEO at Greenfly: “As Greenfly scales internationally, partnering with best-in-class platforms like Imagen allows us to continuously expand digital media management, storage, access, collaboration and editing capabilities–critical to both accelerating player-fan engagement and meeting the 24/7 content demands of live sports broadcasting and sports leagues. With Imagen, we’re giving customers in any industry the ability to significantly amplify their online presence with highly impactful authentic storytelling.”

Slate shared the theory and tools to perform on social

Every social media manager wants to create exciting, valuable, and buzz-worthy content, but to reach that goal, they must develop specific skills. A few days ago, Slate shared 11 skills to aid any current or aspiring social media professional in their journey. Let’s explore and analyze some of them.

Copywriting

Many people think of copywriting as a separate job from social media. Your company may even have dedicated copywriters who work to create website copy, billboard copy, digital ad copy, etc. But, the captions that social media managers craft for the numerous social media channels they run are equally important. And in a sense, can be described as copywriting.

Data Analytics

Know how to interpret data and insights enough to explain them to someone who has no clue about social media. This happens a lot with company stakeholders, working cross-functionally, etc. You’ll need to be able to explain what Instagram Shares are, why it’s more important to increase Engagement as opposed to vanity metrics (like Follower count), and beyond.

An effective social media pro brings hard and soft skills to the table, which takes time and effort to develop. But it's also the reward of this job, as we never stop learning and improving skills.

On the practical side, Slate also gives us the tools to perform on social media. Through the mobile app, we can now create and share branded GIFs to Twitter, IG, and other handles, within seconds, very popular on social. Attentive to its customers, the company is constantly evolving its application and solution to provide all the tools required to further engage followers on social. If you want to find out more about how to use the feature, head to the link here.

Last but not least, during the NBA finals, Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors elevated their content with Slate, by incorporating elements like eye-catching animation with their signature. A great example of how brands can streamline their social content production process and increase their branded content with the Slate app. Check out some NBA Finals content below.

Beyond all these updates and exciting projects for our startups, we are pleased to announce that LaSource is growing even further. June was very intense as we have been actively working to prepare the entry of a new partner willing to join the European sports industry. In the upcoming days, we will reveal its name, but for now we can tell you that its technology should revolutionize the future of broadcasting and video game production. Stay tuned to learn more about this new partnership.
