LaSource has lectured at EM Lyon for the MSc Sports Industry Management
“Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel”
By contributing to the Innovation Sprint of the MSc Sport Industry Management at EM Lyon Business School on November 16-20, we hope "to have lit a flame" in some students. Our lectures was focused on two topics: innovation and customer journey.
From October to December, the business School set up a 3 months lean Innovation sprint with 4 key steps: research, project management, sprint and final presentation.
“A Real World” Innovation challenge
The Lean innovation sprint engaged participants to disrupt existing business models, imagine new value systems for the sport business through an entirely innovative learning path, directly preparing students for their new profession: carrying, steering, learning path, participating and supporting emergence, deployment, development and diffusion of transformation projects leveraging digital technology as a driver.

Influence and mapping the customer journey: the empathy map
From ideation to delivery, the creation of a product is a combination of intelligence, research and determination. Market understanding and analysis are key to create the right product with your technical team. Through our experience with Livelike, we showed students how the American startup moved from a VR solution to a gamification SDK, underlining the importance of customer feedbacks, strategic discussions, relationships and needs understanding.
How to drive Strategic Innovation?
Nowadays implementing an innovation strategy is almost mandatory for sport organisation as they need to evolve and transform their institutions to drive more engagement and business outcomes. In our masterclass we went through the process of innovating, from strategic audit and sprint to innovation transformation and corporate partnership.
